HISTORY

ASEAN XChange was pioneered in Manila, Philippines as ASEAN Youth Exchange on Education (AYEE) on December 2015, a flagship program of the ASEAN Youth Leaders Association (AYLA). AYLA's founder then decided to reconstruct ASEAN XChange as a separate brand, and was relaunched in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on July 2017.

The initial concept of the pioneering team from the Philippines was to create an inclusive platform where young leaders can meet to deep-dive on challenges in the education landscape of ASEAN. The idea then evolved to tackling poverty, as a form to address specific development issues ASEAN is facing today.

Currently, ASEAN XChange is a registered social enterprise headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
